Stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance - a quick Google search for recommendations that landed me with this amazing claypot lou shu fan. Added points for having chilli on the side to spice things up!

One of my favorite spots for authentic Malaysian food! I had the silver needle noodles with minced pork in claypot, stir-fried curry noodles, and claypot pork belly with salted fish—all so delicious and full of flavor. The boss is always attentive and friendly, and despite coming here many times, they never fail to keep their standard. A true hidden gem right next to the train station, very convenient and definitely worth the price!

As a malaysian living abroad. This place really has satisfied my cravings with authentic malaysian food that reminds me of a place far away. 10/10 i would recommend anyone to try and everyone ive brought here have loved all the food. Personal fav: Nasi lemak rendang Mee goreng

Lovely atmosphere, generous portions, and truly authentic flavors! Highly recommend the Pearl Noodles Claypot and Kangkung Sambal both were absolutely delicious. Great spot for anyone craving authentic, flavorful dishes. Loved it!

Valentine’s Day on my lonesome, a couple of drinks at the Cecil and wandering past when the menu caught my eye and you know I can NEVER walk past a good Asian place, especially one I haven’t tried before. Decided to go the sweet & sour pork with rice… and holy hell this was hands-down one of the BEST sweet & sour porks I’ve had in ages. Perfect balance of flavour, cooked spot on, and a solid portion too. Friendly service, awesome food, and zero disappointment. I’m a seriously fussy eater and this place absolutely nailed it. Super easy parking at Australia Fair Shopping Centre heaps of free parking around the sides for up to 3 hours, plus spots opposite the cop shop so no stress there either. Honestly, the food was bloody awesome and I’m already keen to go back and smash through more of the menu. If you’re nearby and love a good Asian feed, do yourself a favour and check it out.

Spacious Malaysian Restaurant Located on Scarborough Street Southport. Next to the Cecil Hotel. Received friendly and welcoming service from the lovely lady. Had an Iced Tea and a Beef Rendang. The Tea was very refreshing and tasty. The Beef Rendang was quite good. A bit Spicier and it would have been Perfect.

i have tried many malaysian restaurants and this is by far the best one on the gold coast!! it’s close to the tram stop and right across australia fair. the owner is very warm and welcoming with very attentive staff. It makes me feel like i’m straight back at home! i ordered the Bak Kut Teh and Braised Pork with Salted Fish and it all came within 20 minutes of ordering. the food is so rich in flavour and i can’t wait to go back and try the other amazing dishes!

My colleague recommended this restaurant where we can have authentic Malaysian cuisine at a reasonable price feeling we are in Malaysia. I went for a weekday lunch special but they don’t do it anymore. However, it is still a nice price and tastes great. When we ordered, we were thinking of adding something more later on, however, the meal was quite filling! Staff and the chef provided nice customer service. I will be back soon and will try Curry Mee next :)
